Visitors to Calke Abbey were given the opportunity on Sunday to get stuck into some practical archaeological fun. Armed with a trowel each, Eve Sandhu, left, aged ten, and twins Hannah Wright, centre, and Rachel Wright, aged nine, discover this vase hidden in the sand. The three girls are each a member of the Calke Abbey Family Archaelogy Club, the first of its kind in The National Trust.
