Markeaton Brook turned an odd yellow on Sunday afternoon as 1000 plastic ducks raced along it, placed there by members of the Cats Protection charity. The winning prize was £100 and all other proceeds went towards the charity. Pictured with one of the ducks is nine-year-old Francesca Read from Burton.
